Just in: Court Reinstates Rt. Hon Nuhu Abok As Speaker Plateau State

Plateau State High Court has on Monday reinstated the Impeached Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nuhu Ayuba Abok.

Abok was impeached by the House in October 2021.

However, in its judgment, Justice M. L Musa of the Plateau High Court upheld the submissions of the complainants that the impeachment was illegal and therefore null and void.

The Court further awarded the sum of N1.5 million as the cost of appearance and the sum of N138,000 as the cost of filing the matter against the defenders.

Speaking to Journalists at the Premises of the Plateau House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abok describe the court judgement as a Victory for Plateau People and he has been vindicated over his illegal impeachment.
