Three Oyo Monarchs Reportedly Die In Road Accident
Three traditional rulers from Oriire local government area in the Ogbomoso geo-political zone, Oyo State have died in an accident.
The deceased monarchs died in a road accident that occurred at Arinkinkin area Ogbomoso on Friday.
The three monarchs were said to be on their way to the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.
Daily post report that the dead monarchs include Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all from Oriire local government.
The accident reportedly occurred when their vehicle rammed into an oncoming truck killing them instantly.
A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, saying their remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
Four people were said to be involved in the accident, and the fourth person who sustained injury is reportedly being treated at the hospital, the source revealed, Saturday.
