Makinde Commiserates With APC, Ijesa People Over Demise Of Idowu Korede
A former House of Representative and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State, Hon Rotimi Makinde, has commiserated with the family of Idowu in Ilesa over the death of former Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Honourable Korede Idowu.
Makinde described the death of Idowu, who was a former Chairman of the the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ilesa East Local Government as irreparable loss to the APC family in Ilesa East and the state as a whole.
In a condolence message made available to journalists in Osogbo, on Monday, the Publicity Secretary of PCC Parliamentarians Directorate South-West commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased and Ilesa his native town .
He expressed sadness over the death Idowu who he described as a grassroots political mobiliser who had contributed immensely to the upliftment of the state though various political positions he occupied while alive
He noted that late Idowu was strong supporter and committed until unnecessary grievances separated them saying the vacuum his absence create would be very difficult to fill.
“Idowu’s death is sudden and shocking but with submission to the will of God which can not be questioned by we mortals.
“I can not easily forget the committed role of this great grassrooter that compliment several efforts before the emergence of Aregbesola.
He was firmed and committed until unnecessarry grievances separated us.
“This is an irreparable loss to us as progressive party regardless of the temporary differences.
“I personally feel bad that Hon Korede is no more to witness the settlement”
He therefore urged the people and supporters of Ijesa to take solace in the admonition of the scriptures that held that God is sovereign over life and death, “God holds the power of life and death in each one of us. It is appointed unto man once to die but after this judgement”.
