Africa Baptist Youths Holds Continental Conference in Ghana

Youths under the aegis of the All Africa Baptist Youths Fellowship converge in Accra, Ghana for the AABYF Continental Conference 2023.

The one-week-long power-packed Conference with the theme, Like Father, Like Son (1Peter 1:15) will hold at the popular Pentecost Christian Centre, Accra, Ghana, between Tuesday, August 1 and Saturday, August 6, 2023.

Among the programs lined-up for the event include worship and adoration, prayer sessions, teachings, workshops, cultural displays, an excursion to historical sites, and a business session among others.

Dignitaries expected at the Conference include Rev Dr. Israel Akanji, President, All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF)/President, Nigerian Baptist Convention; Rev Elias, Apetogbo, General Secretary, AABF; AABF President, Bro. Jonas Schoole Kakenge, and his General Secretary, Pastor Enunuaye Onajite.

Others are Ghana Baptist Convention Executive President, Rev Enoch Nii Narh Thompson; Chairperson, National Peace Council, Rev Ernest Adu-Gyamfi; Director, Youth, and Students Ministry of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Dr. James S. Olawuyi and Rev Tetteh-Annor Larbi, Director General, Ghana Baptist Conference.

The All Africa Baptist Youth Fellowship (AABYF) was founded in 1984 as a department under the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF); which is an arm of the Baptist World Alliance to serve as a platform to unite and coordinate Baptist youth bodies on the continent for fellowship, missions, evangelism, and church planting.

The Conference is the largest gathering of Baptist youths in Africa. The last edition was held in Zambia in 2019.
