The event took place on Friday at his country home at Ajibade Street, Ido Ijesa area of Ilesa, Osun State.

The birthday celebration was greeted with long prayer section specially organized for the celebrant Hon. Babatunde Ayeni and his entire family for God to continue to protect them and to see them through in all their endeavors.

The prayer was pronounced both in Christian and Islamic religions by notable men of God.

Speaking Hon. Ayeni said over N60m has been budgeted on projects across the four local governments that make up his constituency to mark his 62nd birthday celebration.

“Today is my birthday and I fixed three projects to be commissioned but due to political unrest in other local government areas, we are just able to commissioned one. In every of my birthday, It has been my practice to empower the people and communities.

“It was about four days ago we plan to commission a project in Igangan, a community situated in Atakumosa East local government but due to the political rascality in the area we were unable to visit the place.

“It must be noted and cleared that the borehole being built in Igangan is a project of APC government not that of the current PDP government in the state. When you get there the difference is cleared because it is a federal government project, and that is to tell you that the president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is coming in more bigger way.

“Also, there is new transformer installation in Oke Aanu area of Ilesa that we are supposed to commission alongside today but due to some hitches we couldn’t.

“It has been my actual practice, instead of dining and wining only, the community will remember my 62nd birthday as a day this borehole project is commissioned

“I promised them I will give them one of my project and when it came I called them where do you want us to site the borehole because it is not an ordinary borehole it’s going to be working with the solar system.

As we can see it was erected within three weeks and we were able to complete it within this space, glory be to God.

I have four local governments in my constituency, this is Atakumosa West ward four of my local government and this is one of the other projects I have fulfilled. This is part of the dividends of democracy to my people.

Speaking at the borehole commissioning, the Oba Odo-Ijesa, Oba James Busuyi Gbadamosi who was the representative of the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland,Owa Obokun Adimula II,Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, wished hon Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni a happy birthday and commended him for the landmark projects executed across his constituency.

Olumoroko of Moroko, Oba Olugbenga Omole, in his goodwill message to the celebrant, he eulogized him for fulfilling his promise to the community and prayed God be with him and wished him many happy return on his day .

Oba Omole also assured Hon Ayeni of prompt maintenance of the borehole and careful usage of it.

In the same vein, the wife of the celebrant Mrs. Olubunmi Ayeni gave all the glory to God Almighty for his grace over the life of her husband to mark 62nd birthday hale and hearty.Olubunmi said she would be forever be grateful to God over him.

In another development, Hon Ayeni spoke on the hope of nigerians about
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu where he said Tinubu is the only man that can redeem the hope of Nigerians.

“I have been with him for year and the situation on ground now he’s the man that has the knowledge about Nigerians problems across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria.

“Aside from being knowledgeable about Nigeria, he has the talent and is equipped with solutions to wherever he sees problems.

“When you are talking about economic activities he’s well sounded, reserved and Since he knows the problems of Nigerians he knows what to do at the right time.

“Tinubu’s aspiration to become Nigeria’s president is not that he wants to make money for himself but rather he wants to change the current situation in the country for the best.

“Being with him for years I know what he can do. If he knows you won’t perform he won’t put you in a position and if at all you have already been placed in the position and you don’t perform he will not hesitate to throw you out of the job.

“With his political experience, vast knowledge, and connections, he has been planning on how to rule this country for the past twenty years now, he has the blueprint for the country and he’s the fittest man for the task”.

In the furtherance of his assertions, the lawmakers narrated his ordeal at the just concluded election and the chance of the All Progressives Congress in Osun Politics.

“In osun politics I witnessed what has not been happening in osun, I don’t pray for God to let that happen again because there is lots of violence, killings here and there, and life-threatening.

“Osun state has been known to be the most peaceful state in Nigeria but the situation was changed otherwise during the last elections. I was even affected because am a peaceful man, I don’t know if that was the system they had planned for that election. Such a move is uncalled for and they have taught us a lot of lessons.

“In our sight as the progressive, we don’t the election as a war-war thing but a free world where every political party will go to the field and make its manifesto known to the people and allow them to vote their choice at the elections but the reverse was the case.

“We went to war in the last election in Osun and thanked God I’m still alive but what about those that have lost their lives to the election? At least in my constituency, we lost fourteen people to death.
