All Set for the Arise Congress Maiden Edition

The thrills, frills, joy, hope, and the electric atmosphere of one of the most anticipated gatherings of young people on the continent of Africa have reached top gear. The largest gathering of young people anywhere on the continent of Africa for one purpose – to ignite a generation of champions will kick in less than 6 days from today.
The gathering schedule for Wednesday, September 6th to Saturday, September 9th, 2023 put together by the Nigerian Baptist Convention is loaded days of empowerment, inspiration, motivation, divine inspiration, and moments of interactions and networking never seen before in the annals of youth movement and gathering in Nigeria.
At a meeting held Tuesday by the Organisers led by Revd Dr. Solomon Olawuyi James, he revealed that the preparation has reached top gear and set out the details and information that all intending participants should take note to maximize the full package that comes with attending the congress.
Among the details shared at the meeting was that though the registration officially closed on Monday, 28th August 2023, the registration portal at www.portal.congress.ariseforimpact.org will still be open for registration down to the day of the Congress.
On a positive side is the fact that the entire over 20,000 delegates are going to be fed 6 times for the three days in the morning and afternoon. Despite the huge financial commitment this requires, the Nigerian Baptist Convention has resolved to be committed and avowed to do all it can to ensure that the Young People in this country are empowered and ignited to take over the leadership and all sector of country’s economy.
The closing day of the congress promised to be impacting and filled with a lot of activities that will last long in the memory of all participants. From the morning to 7pm, then from 10pm till dawn, a vigil of spiritual impartation and inspiration will take place.
On the area of accommodation, the plan is an elaborate one as the entire pool of participants is going to be lodged at different hostels and guest houses available at Redemption Camp which is about 15 minutes from the venue. All plans in this regard are virtually completed. All those who register are assured of an accommodation for two nights.
Arise Congress is more than a program! It is a grandeur vision of “Creating and Igniting a Youth Movement of Champions for Kingdom Exploits and Global Impact.” The conference is conveyed to provide a general platform of fellowship, worship, partnership, networking, and empowerment for all young people for a glorious future and leadership.
The congress will include various syndicate groups and sessions that will expose and create access to opportunities that the participants can fully engage with and utilise after the Congress. Action points and outcomes from the Congress are expected to be implemented by the NGOs of the Convention Youth and Student Ministries Department, Arise Youth Network for Total Impact.
Notable Speakers and ministers expected at the Congress include Revd. Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji (President, All Africa Baptist Fellowship/Nigerian Baptist Convention), Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr. Sarah Alade (Former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria), Pastor Tunde Bakare (The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church), Revd Dr. Solomon Olawuyi James (Director, Youth and Student Ministries, Nigerian Baptist Convention), Dr. Amos Adamu (Former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Sports/Chairman 2003, All Africa Games), Minister Dunsin Oyekan, among other ministers and speakers from Nigeria and abroad.
