5 Killed, 3 Injured in Renewed Plateau Attack

Five person’s have been confirmed dead and Three others injured in the Monday attack in Rigwe land, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Irigwe Development Association, Mr Davidson Malison, three women were killed at Mararaban Tipper along Nzhwerenvi village and one man killed at Kpara village.
He added that another man was ambushed along Gero Road from Tin Mining Site, taken to the hospital and later died.
He stressed that Three people sustained gunshots injuries and are currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
He identified those killed as Talatu (Isho) Benson (45); Talatu Danladi (33); Mama Danladi (15); James Yah (42); and Adamu Amedi.
Malison said Godiya Danladi, Redzie I’ve, and Alheri Danladi sustained gunshot injuries.
He explained that a bus was burnt down while motorcycles were carted away.
He noted that the attack began around 7:57pm.
Meanwhile, Plateau state Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has condemned the attack adding that security of lives and property is important to his administration.
He said that perpetrators of the dastard attack would be brought to justice.
