The Governor and his team will later pay traditional homage to royal fathers in the two Council areas at the palace of Alapomu of Apomu before addressing party faithfuls, artisans, market women and men, members of ethnic nationalities and the general public at the Palace Square Roundabout, Apomu.

The Campaign train will from there move to Irewole Main Council and Irewole North East LCDA where the team will first meet the royal fathers at the palace of Akire of Ikire before unveiling his program for the second term to the general public at St. John’s Pry. School Field, Ikire and also welcome hundreds of PDP members that are defecting to the APC.

In the meantime, the Campaign Council has called on security operatives to take judicial notice of the reckless and inciting statement of a chieftain of the opposition PDP in a viral video circulating on the social media. In the said video, the PDP chieftain from Irewole local government asked supporters of his party to take stones, sticks and cudgels and break the head of any identified APC members in Ikire ahead of the Governorship election.

In a decent society, comments like this is enough to elicit invitation for the man to not only be reprimanded but made to commit himself to ensuring peace and tranquility in the area before, during and after the election.
