Police Bigin Investigation Into Murder Of Commercial Motorcyclist In Osun
The Osun State Police Command has announced that it has commenced a discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of one Toyin Oluwaseun, a commercial motorcyclist in Ilesa.
A statement made available by the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, said the duo of Taiwo Asa and Rotimi Dada are in an unconscious state.
Opalola in the statement disclosed that on Friday, August 26, 2022, the duo around 5:20pm had reported at B Divisional Police Headquarters, Ilesa, the discovery of an unidentified young man unconscious with a head injury in an uncompleted building belonging to Taiwo Asa.
The uncompleted building the statement explained is located in a new site along the Ilesa-Akure expressway.
The statement revealed that the senior police officer in charge of B Division, Ilesa promptly mobilised detectives to the scene but on getting there they found Toyin, the injured commercial motorcyclist dead.
According to the statement, “Photographs were taken, and the corpse was deposited at the Wesley Guild Hospital mortuary, Ilesa for autopsy.”
Opalola also revealed that the victim was 22 years old and a commercial motorcyclist identity card with the name Toyin Oluwaseun was found in his pocket.
She also stated that an investigation was in progress to determine the cause of death to arrest any perpetrators.
