Photo News: Olowu Of Kuta Hails Osun NUJ For Inducting Him Into Hall Of Fame

The Oluwu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Makama Oyelude has hailed the Nigerian Union Of Journalist ( NUJ) Osun State Council for Inducting him into Hall of Frame.

The monarch expressed joy on Friday as he invited dignity and important personality which includes Olubadan of Ibadan, Oregun of Ila among others who were present at the induction.

Oba Oyelude was inducted on Friday as part of the activities to mark the 2022 NUJ press week during a Royal dinner at the Monarch’s palace.

Speaking at the event, the NUJ Chairman Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu commended the monarch for his humanitarian service, his support and contribution to human development in the society.

He explained that the union don’t just give award unless the awardees merit it adding that the monarch has demonstrated the ability to give back to the society “he derives pleasure in human and economic development.

“The king has actually demonstrated that he possess the ability to give back to the society is not always easy for people to give back to the society even when they have more than enough they will not show interest in the development of human being.


“The honour is meant for people that have contributed significantly for their community and have impacted in the lives of others and Olowu of kuta fit into this class”

“If you look at Kuta of yesterday and today, it was developed by Olowu of Kuta, so somebody like this needs to be recognized. The NUJ of Fame is not just a simple thing you can get, the hall is meant for selected people that have contributed significantly to the development of their community.

In the same vein, The Orangun of Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, expressed love for Olowu of Kuta, saying he had laid a good example for the successors going by his contribution to the growth of his community.

“Olowu of Kuta is interested in the development of his people . You can see that in Iwo.

“I refer to him as the 21st century monarch , monarchy itself is to develop our people if you use monarchy the right way you can promote right and assimilation of people and that is what olowu is doing.

” I refer to him as the general of the traditional class . He is trying to leave a mark for those coming after us because the institution is too important and it a modern”

” I admire him, look at the place it shows his interested in the human development of his people”.
