Moshadek Wins APC HoR Ticket, Hails Party Members For Peaceful Conduct
The winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for House of Representatives in Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency of Osun State, Chief Moshood Adekunle (MOSHADEK) has hailed party members for their confidence in him.
MOSHADEK defeated the other aspirants at the party’s primaries held on Friday with a total votes of 13,837, while Honourable Gboyega Bello (BABS) came a distance second with a total votes of 6,354, and the serving member representing the Constituency, who contested for a return ticket, Hon Rasheed Afolabi had 5,681.
Addressing his jubilant supporters at his residence shortly after the collation, the APC candidate said, he was amazed by the overwhelming support he received from party members at the primary election across all the three Local Government, saying he would never take it for granted.
He commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola for allowing internal democracy to thrive by refusing to impose any aspirant, saying his gesture has clearly shown that he is a democrat to the core.
While commending other aspirants for giving a good fight for the ticket, he said his victory should be seen as a victory for the party and join him to collectively ensure the success of APC at the general election.
According to him, the primary election was a family affair and should not be allowed to divide them in anyway, saying the beauty of internal democracy within the APC has just been brought to bear.
He then thanked all party leaders and members for their peaceful conduct during the election, assuring that they would not have course to regret the confidence reposed in him.
According to him, the first task ahead for all party members is to collectively mobilise for the re-election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola coming up on July 16, saying the party’s victory would shoften ground for other elections.
He was confident that Governor Oyetola would win the governorship election having turned around the state the better, while the APC would have a good outing in the subsequent polls
