Rep Oyewo Calls On FG To Increase Capacity Of 22 Industrial Centers In Nigeria
Few weeks after calling for the revitalization of Steel Rolling Mill and Nigeria Machine Tools, two inactive industries situated in his territory, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy), lawmaker representing Oṣogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, has once again tasked Federal Government on the need to increase capacity of the 22 existing industrial centers across Nigeria.
This motion is predicated on the appalling condition of the industrial development center situated by the Federal Government in Oṣogbo.
The federal legislator lamented the continued decay and poor condition of virtually all infrastructure at the Oṣogbo Industrial Center.
While presenting the motion on the floor of the green chamber of the National Assembly, Rep Oyewo said it is sad and disheartening that the buildings of the industrial center in his constituency are in total state of disrepair, equipments in ruin, while the vast expanse of land has now been taken over by overgrown weeds.
The infrastructure motion moved by the Osun federal parliamentarian has now been admitted by the House of Representatives for further deliberations.
Since his inauguration into the National Assembly, Rep Oyewo has been at the forefront of various moves geared towards revival of moribund industries across Oṣogbo Federal Constituency and other parts of the country. This effort is aimed at addressing the challenge of youth unemployment and endemic poverty in the society.
