Infrastructure: Osun Council Chairmen, Secretaries, Councillors To Inspect Olaiya Flyover Tomorrow

The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State chapter , Hon. Abiodun Samuel Idowu, on Thursday disclosed his readiness to lead other council Chairmen in the State on the inspection of the ongoing iconic Olaiya Flyover, Osogbo tomorrow, Friday January 28, 2023.
According to the ALGON Chairman, all the 69 Council Chairmen, their Secretaries and Councillors are expected to gather on the bridge by 9am prompt .
Hon. Idowu, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Thursday, said the planned inspection aimed at appreciating Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for his modest achievements across the sectors particularly in the road infrastructural development that has given the State particularly the State capital, a facelift.
The Osun ALGON Chairman who doubled as the Chairman Ifedayo Local Government, said the bridge which has reached over 90 percent completion would go a long way to ease the traffic, reduce avoidable road mishaps and as well give the capital city a deserved aesthetic values.
He stated further that the Chairmen under the umbrella of ALGON were resolute and committed to the policies and programmes of the State that have been intellectually and painstakingly designed to turn around the socioeconomic fortunes of the State.
The Council boss further applauded the Administration of Governor Oyetola for taking the welfare and well-being of the people of the State as topmost priority since assumption of office.
“All the 69 Council Chairmen in Osun Forum, including Vice Chairmen, Secretaries and Councillors are hereby encouraged to assemble on top of the new Olaiya bridge by 9am prompt tomorrow Friday 28/01/22.
“This is aimed at inspecting and appreciating our Governor for the initiative that has given the State capital another new face of development.
“Proper arrangement has been made for security and press coverage. Thank you for the usual understanding and cooperations”, the statement reads.
