Prince Killers Avert Wrath Of Deities, Attack Invokers In Osun

As the people of Ofatedo community in Osun set to invoke their traditional deities to fish-out who killed a prince in the town,the killers have invaded the town to stop the process, shot three people and left several injured.

The invaders who were identified as
cultists said to have stormed the community on Sunday around 12.00 a.m,a day before the traditionalists in the community planned to commence some traditional rites to invoke deities and gods of the land to fight the killers of their son.

Recall CityMirrorNews had reported that “Unidentified Cult Group Stormed Osun recently, murdered a Prince, a son to Oba Abdulahi Okunloye,the Olofa of Ofatedo, Yinusa Okunloye.

The incident which happened on Saturday in Ofatedo, Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State.

CityMirrorNews earlier learnt that the 43-year-old Okunloye house was invaded around 12am on Saturday, where he was dragged out and later shot in the chest”.

According to one of the community leaders who spoke with our reporter, Mr. Ajisafe,said “we are no longer safe in our community again.

” Hoodlums arrived our community and fished out those behind the traditional rites and the invokers of deities, they dragged them out of their houses and three of them were shot and many other persons left with various degrees of injuries”.

He said the prompt intervention by the osun state police command has returned normalcy to the town.

Report also has it that the cult group engaged the police team in a gun battle duel and flee when they realized they could not outshine the police.

The community leaders therefore urged the police to swing into action to address the matter headlong by bringing the culprits of the act to book in no distance time, saying the victims of the attack have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for prompt medical attention and treatment.
