Top Nigerian Newspaper’s Columnist, Olagunju Donates Borehole To Home Town To Mark Father’s Day
A top Nigerian newspaper’s columnist, Dr. Lasisi Olagunju, has marked the 20th year of his father’s death with the donation of a borehole to his home town, Eripa in Boluwaduro Local Government Area, Osun State, Southwest Nigeria.
Olagunju, an Editor with Tribune newspaper, who, on his verified Facebook page, said that he and his siblings chose the gesture to mark the father’s day, promised to do more for the town.
The king of the town, Oba Samuel Oyediran Akinsowon 11; Osun State Commissioner for Information, Mrs Funke Egbemode; a former Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Kazeem Adio; the Chief Imam of Eripa, Alhaji Rasheed Olaniyan; and several other stakeholders in Osun State assisted the Olagunju family to commission the borehole.
“Today is my own Father’s Day. My father died on 23 June, 2002. That was exactly 20 years ago. He was my closest confidant. Today, we, his children, decided to mark the anniversary with the donation of a borehole to our community, Eripa, in Boluwaduro Local Government Area, Osun State…

“We promise to do more for that town, going forward. Ki Olorun ran wa lowo,” Olagunju wrote.
