Osun Guber Poll: Oyetola’s Aide, Lukman Calls For Calm
The Osun State Focal Person on National Social Investment Programme-NSIP, Lukman Abimbola Bello has appreciated the residents of Osun State for turning out in their large numbers to cast their votes for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Bello who called on the entire citizens as well as the youths of the state to remain calm and be law abiding due to the outcome of the election result made this known in his appreciation press statement issued and made available to journalists in Osogbo, the state capital on Sunday.
Bello who appreciated the entire people of the state for demonstrating their unalloyed support through their ballots during the election indicated that they are true progressives and showed that they would continue to support Governor Oyetola no matter what happened.
Bello who is also the Senior Special Assistant, SSA to Governor Oyetola on Social Intervention Programme in the statement, admonished all the youths as well the electorates across the state not to allow the outcome of the result of the election to cause dissatisfaction and division within the party, saying that the APC still remains the ruling party in the state.
According to the APC leader, “I am strongly appealing to the electorates and teeming supporters of our dear party in Osun not to be disturbed and distracted but continue to demonstrate their loyalty and unalloyed support as the APC would continue to wax stronger in the state under the able leadership of our amiable governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
” We should not see what happened last Saturday as the end of the road as our father, Mr Governor has told us the next level of action. We should continue to demonstrate our complete support to him as he remain in the office”.
Bello stated that, for the people to have voted for Governor Oyetola, they have shown the world that Mr Governor has indeed touched the lives of the masses across the state as well as making life more bearable for all and sundry.
His words, “I also want to urge you party faithfuls in the state to remain steadfast and committed to our dear party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and am using this medium to encourage you all to stand firmly by the only party that is commited to making life better for you all.
” Am as well admonishing you not to allow the outcome of the election cause rancour and disunity among you all as this is not the period of apportioning blames but a time to be together for our party to bounce back in a strong way.
“We still have hope as well as having a strong and big project before us towards 2023, so, we should not relent and be distracted as it is not over until it is over”
The Ede born politician who reiterated the continuous support of the incumbent administration of Governor Oyetola to the development and betterment of the youths, however urged the people of the state not to foment trouble in their various local government areas of the state while they should continue to demonstrate complete peace and search for the betterment of the APC.
