Hon Ayeni Gives Back To Alma mater, Commissions Six Blocks Classroom In Osun

The lawmaker representing Ijesa-south federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, in memory of his alma-mater on Monday commissioned six blocks classroom at Ife Oluwa C&S Primary School, Oke Ikobi, Osu, Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State.

Ayeni was warmly welcomed to the school premises by the good people of Osu town for the giant strive he has made to remember not only the school but the Osu kingdom at large.

The Classroom which is one of the numerous projects the lawmaker has completed for his consistency was commissioned in an atmosphere akin to a funfair.

Speaking Ayeni said it has always be his joy to create a conducive learning environment for the pupils in the school when he remembered how schooling atmospheres were in those days when he started with the school.

“I attended other schools and I have associated with them all, but when the name Ife Oluwa Primary School is mentioned, its always brings out something on my table.

” I remember vividly how my mother, Mrs Mopelola Ayeni (of blessed memory) used to drag me to this same school as a child, here I am today,I give glory to God.

“I remember how many of my loving and caring teachers took out their time to teach me then if not for their efforts I might not go this far.

“I want to use this medium to appreciate president Muhammad Buhari along side the Right Hon. Speaker of House Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila for their unanimous supports over numerous completed and ongoing projects in Ijesa South Federal Consistency.

The event was graced by notable personalities within and outside the town, among them were the Royal Father of Osu Kingdom, Oba Jetro Adegoke Adejola II, the monarch thanked Hon Ayeni for giving back to his old school and prayed for him and his household and admonished other old students to follow suit .

Others were Hon. Dare Ajumobi,the newly elected chairman of Atakumosa West Local Government, Mr. Samson Oriowo, APC Chairman in Osu town, Hon Thomas Jebutu, former chairman of the local government,Hon Risikat Oladele, women leaders, NUT chairman,Abiodun Idowu Ajala,the School Headmistress, Mrs Ayodeji Florence, to mention a few.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Ayodeji Florence lauded Ayeni for the construction of the new classrooms in the school in order to aid educational learning for the pupils and as a way saying thank you to his alma-mater

Mrs Florence in her remark said the lawmaker approached the school sometimes around September year 2021 that he wanted to build some classrooms for the school, the idea which was warmly welcomed.

“I am highly delighted to welcome everyone to this beautiful occasion of commissioning of our newly constructed of six blocks of classroom by Honourable Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni.

“Hon. L.B . Ayeni as of the old students of Ife Oluwa C & S Primary School,Osu, came on September 2021 to inform me that he wanted to do building project for the school and to my surprise he started the project by October same year.

” I am very happy that it is during my tenure as the Headmistress that Hon L. B. Ayeni constructed these classrooms.

“I wish to use this medium to appreciate Hon Ayeni for his care and concern about the school for the completion and commissioning of this beautiful project”, the Headmistress added.

Also the NUT chairman of Atakumosa West Local Government, Mr. Abiodun Idowu Ajala said the project would go a long way in making leaning conducive for the pupils in the school and poured encomium on Hon Babatunde Ayeni for the landmark achievement.

The lawmaker on his final note therefore thanked everyone for coming to grace the event , sought for the support of people over the forthcoming elections, urged them to vote massively for all APC candidates contesting for one position or the other.

Hon. Ayeni further promised to do more if elected come 2023 election and eulogized the school management of Ife Oluwa C & S Primary School,Osu for prompt maintenance of the classrooms.
