Birthday: YPF Visits Akande In Ila-Orangun, Solicits Support For Tinubu Presidential Ambition

—Says APC National Leader Deserve To Succeed Buhari

A socio-cultural group , Yoruba Progressive Forum (YPF), has said that the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserved to succeed President Muhammad in 2023.

The group however declared its support for Presidential ambition of Tinubu saying he had sacrificed so much for the party and democracy Nigerians are presently enjoying.

The National Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Lateef Olalekan popularly known as Asiri Ede, made this known in Ila-Orangun, Ila local Government of Osun state.

Alhaji Olalekan who led other members of the group to Ila, the country home of the former interim National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande on the occasion of his 83 Birthday said Tinubu has contributed immensely to the victory of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 and 2019 polls, hence , deserved to be compensated with the party’s ticket in the next presidential election.

The YPF Coordinator noted that Tinubu is a true nationalist that can unite the compatriots if elected president in 2023 claiming that when he was a governor, he was unbiased and had appointed people from other states in his cabinet.

Itemising some of the objectives of the group which among others is to promote unity among the Yoruba People, Alhaji Olalekan said: “On justice ground, power should be shifted to the southern part of the country in 2023 since the north has served two consecutive terms,” saying there was the need for all the Yoruba to rally round the APC National leader and ensure his presidential ambition is realised.

“We believe that the best person to succeed Buhari is the APC national leader Bola Tinubu because he is instrumental to Buhari’s victory in 2015 and 2019 elections.

He also contributed tremendously to the success of the APC in all other elective offices. Therefore, 2023 should be a payback time. Let us respect the gentleman agreement by supporting the south to produce the next president. And Bola Tinubu is the best man for the job in view of his political experience, dexterity, exposure and national patriotism.” Alhaji Olalekan said.

The group however congratulated the Chief Bisi Akande on the occasion of 83 birthday saying his commitment to nation building second to none.

Alhaji Olalekan extolled the octogenarian’s rare virtues, long-standing commitment, dedication and resilience to national growth and development which has been seen in the continued existence of Nigeria as a united and indivisible entity.

He however, on behalf of other members of the group prayed God to continue to protect Baba and grant him all his heart desires.
