Baptist Conference Centre Renamed

The President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, Rev Dr Israel Akanji has announced the new name of the Baptist Centre.
The centre is renamed Baptist International Convention Centre, BICC.
He made the announcement at the ongoing Youth Night of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference holding at the centre during his visit.
He said that the Executive Committee of the Convention has approved the new name at her just concluded meeting held earlier today.
Akanji noted that the former name, Baptist International Conference Centre did not fully represent the Convention.
He appreciated the youths for the great work they are doing stressing that the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, has been representing the youths exceptionally well.
He admonished the youths to continue to be good ambassadors of the Baptist family and prayed for the youths.
In his response, the Director, Youth and Students’ Ministries, Rev Dr S.A.K Olaleye appreciated the NBC President for the support to the youths. He added that the Convention was planning to establish the Youth Headquarters in Abuja.
The President, Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, Pastor Enunuaye Onajite thanked the President for his support especially towards NBCYC participation in world and continental Baptist youth programmes. He used the opportunity to present a gift received on his behalf from Togo during the All Africa Baptist Youth Programme.
The Nigerian Baptist Convention is currently holding her 109th Annual Session at the Baptist International Convention Centre, BICC, Lufuwape Town, Kilometre 53, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The theme of the Convention is Entering into Newness with Praise and Thanksgiving (Ps. 100:4)”.
