Says Vacuum Created At This critical Time Will Be Difficult To Fill

The foremost Tinubu’s presidential support group, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 has expressed great sadness and rude shock over the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III

In statement released on Saturday morning in Abuja by its National Director, Media and Publicity, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 described the death of the revered monarch as shocking especially at this critical time that the nation needs his experience and fatherhood for political stability.

“The death of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III came to us this morning as a rude shock and very untimely because just last week the Yoruba caucus of our project held a meeting in Ibadan and our resolution was calling on him and other prominent Yoruba traditional rulers to wade into the Presidential expression of interest by some Yoruba sons so as not to jeopardize the bright chance of the region to clinch Nigeria’s presidency and now the revered monarch is dead. It is shocking and very untimely” Adebayo said.

The Project Beyond 2023 however commiserated the immediate family, friends, relatives and well wishers of the late monarch and urges them to solace in the fact that the monarch lived a well fulfilled life

“However, we cannot question God in His supremacy hence on behalf of the Director General, Realwan Okpanachi, leadership and the entire members of the project, I commiserate with Nigerians in general and Yoruba Nation in particular, we also commiserate with the immediate and extended family of Kabiyesi, his friends, relatives & well wishers especially our own Director of Welfare & Logistics, Madam Kunbi who is a daughter to the revered monarch, we urge them to take solace in the fact that the monarch lived a well fulfilled life while with us and he will be greatly missed as the vacuum his death created will be greatly difficult to fill” Adebayo concluded in the statement Saturday morning.
