AGF Reiterates Support For Oyetola, Commends Decision To Challenge Election Results At Tribunal

The Osun State Chapter of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), has reiterated its support for the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola notwithstanding the outcome of the July 16 gubernatorial election in the state.

The group however, described the decision of the Governor and the party to challenge the outcome of the polls at the tribunal as a best decision ever.

AGF State Coordinator, Comrade Sikiru Tijani made these known in Osogbo, while fielding questions Journalists in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday.

According to Tijani , Governor Gboyega Oyetola had done tremendously well and members of the group would continue to support him in his bid to take the state to the greater heights.

He noted that the governor had demonstrated to the whole world that he’s a peace loving man by ensuring that the gubernatorial election went peacefully without any record of violence anywhere across the state.

“We, members of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) in Osun State really commend our amiable Governor for doing everything humanly possible to ensure that the July 16 gubernatorial election went peacefully without any record of violence anywhere in the state.

“Governor Gboyega Oyetola is a peace loving man who really believes in peace and he has been doing everything within his reach to ensure that the peace continue to reign in the state.”

“We would continue to support him in his bid to take the state to the promised land and we have that believe that he is going to rule the state beyond this year. He had worked for it and God knows how He would do it for us.

“That’s why we really cherish and appreciate his decision to challenge the outcome of the polls at the the Election Petition Tribunal, in fact, it’s a welcome Development and best decision ever.

“We are very optimistic that the will of the people of the state shall surely be prevailed and we shall all rejoice at the end of the day,” he said

He, however appreciated members of the group across for their unalloyed support for the party during the last gubernatorial election in Osun State.
