Gov Oyetola’s Aide, Aremo Reprimands Davido For Calling His Principal ‘Bad Human Being’
Honourable Adegboyega Aremo the Special Adviser to Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Youth and Sports, on Tuesday reprimanded David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, over his recent outburst against Governor Gboyega Oyetola
Recall that Davido in a tweet, described Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a ‘bad human being’ over the governor’s claim that Sen. Ademola Adeleke (his uncle and Osun governor-elect) admitted that there was over voting during the state July 16 governorship election.
Aremo while addressing some youths in Osogbo, decried the statement made by Davido saying such utterances from a young man to an elderly man was unbecoming.
The Special Adviser said such verbal attack on the person of the sitting Governor, from Davido, is unjustifiable.
He said such utterance shows lack of home training on the part of the music star, saying that only a young man on drugs would take on a man old enough to be his father in that manner.
“Davido and his cohorts should not capitalize on the calmness of the Mr Governor to be mis-yarning.
“He should know that Governor Oyetola is old enough to be his father apart from being the Governor of a state.
“It is very sad to see the way and manner the young citizen of the ‘State of Virtue’ has been abusing the Governor all in the name of politics and in his bid to take side with his uncle, Senator Adeleke.
“The Davido’s needless abuses of Oyetola is a clear inference that he lacks a home training or he refuses to imbibe the ethos of culture of respect and Omoluabi for which the Yoruba people are known for worldwide.” he said
While cautioning the Nigerian musical star, Aremo said, “in Yorubaland, acquisition of money and fame is not the only parameter or standard to measure the success of a properly-trained human being.
Recall that Davido, described Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a ‘bad human being’ while reacting to reports that his uncle, who won the Osun governorship election, admitted that there was over-voting in his response to the petition against his victory at the July 16 governorship poll pending before Election Petition Tribunal.
The Osun governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke (Davido’s Uncle) had equally, in a statement on Sunday, denied the reports circulating on social media that he admitted to over-voting during the election he won, adding that his defence was being twisted.
Spokesperson to the governor-elect, Rasheed Olawale, who issued the statement on behalf of Sen. Adeleke said in the defence filed before the Tribunal, the governor-elect dismissed Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola’s claim of over-voting in 750 polling units created by incomplete data of the BVAS based on the unsynchronised BVAS.
Davido, in a tweet, urged the INEC to tell Nigerians if there was over-voting with its new BVAS Machine.
He tweeted, “You are actually just a bad human being @GboyegaOyetola no other way to put it, spreading lies everywhere destroying your legacy (not like you even have).
“It’s done and dusted @inecnigeria Abeg is there any such thing as over voting with your new BVAS Machine? NOV 27th WE MOVE.”
