Breaking] Electoral Act: Like Senate, Reps Dump Direct Primary

The House of Representatives has amended the controversial section 84 of the Electoral Act amendment Bill, leaving politics parties with the option to adopt either direct of indirect primary election in nominating candidates for elective positions.

President Muhammadu Buhari had withheld assent to the Bill as passed by the National Assembly over issues with the compulsory direct primaries for all politics parties as enshrined in the Bill.
