Youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, have congratulated the newly appointed Director, Youth, and Students’ Ministries, Rev Dr. James Olawuyi describing his appointment as a welcome development.
The youths described Olawuyi as a visionary young and dynamic minister whose wealth of experience would be useful in achieving the mission statement of the Students and Youth ministries of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
In a statement signed by the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, Pastor Enunuaye Onajite, urged the new Director to build on the successes of his predecessors.
He said, “We congratulate Rev Dr. James Olawuyi for his appointment. We acknowledge his expertise, experience, and achievements in youth ministry.
“We are aware that Rev Dr. James Olawuyi is doing a great exploit through his “Young and Dynamic” Program in Kwara Baptist Conference for youths. The annual program usually has an average of 4000-6000 youths in attendance.
“We call on him to build on the successes of his predecessors and build bridges with all organs of the Convention especially, his immediate ministry. We urge him to see all youths of the Convention as his constituents and build a solid relationship with them.
“We on our part assure him of our support towards fulfilling God’s vision for the youths of the Convention.”
Onajite appreciated the outgoing Director, Rev SAK Olaleye for his service to the youths and the Convention praying for God to reward his labour of love.
The youth leader wished Olawuyi a successful stay in the office.
