Nigeria Is Not Just In A Physical Mess, It’s At The Last Stage Of Collapsing – Peter Obi
The Labour Party Presidential flag-bearer, and former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi, has spoken on the dilapidated condition of all sectors in Nigeria, saying the country is at the last stage of breaking down.
Mr. Obi revealed this on Friday night in an interview with CNN where he lamented the poor management of Nigeria’s resources, bad leadership, and corruption.
Obi is contesting for the office of the president alongside other veteran politicians like Atiku Abubakar of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ruling APC’s Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general elections.
The Labour Party Presidential candidate, while pinpointing some of Nigeria’s problems, stressed that the problems cannot be solved overnight by any president as the pillars holding it are almost crashing.
“Nigeria is not just in a physical mess but it is at the last stage of collapsing.
“No one can solve the problems overnight, but they can be resolved If we have a leader that is competent, versatile, with the capacity to be honest in all stages, and who is ready to give the battle a total commitment.
“But there must be clear, visible, measurable attempts to deal with it, they are solvable things. They are things that can be dealt with decisively “, he added.
