Kogi Poly Goes Gaga, Rusticates 171 Students Over Academic Ineptness
In a bid to uphold a solid Academic standard among its contemporaries, the management of Kogi State Polytechnic,lokoja,has expelled 171 Students over examination misconducts and academic Ineptness.
The students were said to have performed below the academic standard of the institution while some involved in examination malpractice of all sorts.
The Institution revealed this to journalists in a statement on Tuesday in Lokoja through the head of her Public Relations and Protocol Unit,Mrs Uredo Omale, said the rusticated students were caught with different immortalities during their first semester examinations in the 2021/2022 academic session.
Mrs. Omale added that 168 students were expelled for poor academic performance while three students were sent packing for theft and impersonation during the period.
Saying “their expulsion was a joint decision made by the Management and the institution’s Academic Board inline with its last meeting which was held on July 28,2022,after which their case have been duely investigated.
“The board also approved the exoneration of three students earlier accused of involvement in different examination misconducts.
“The three students exonerated were Johnson Lydia-Odunayo of the Department of Public Administration, Balogun Afeez Tolani and John Timothy are both from the Department of Business Administration.”
Omale however,said the board took the decision after considering the report of the Central Examination Misconduct Committee set-up to investigate and checkmate the academic performance of the students.
