AUPCTRE NCC Condemns Malicious Report On NYSC Trust Fund
The Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Service Employees(AUPCTRE), National Co-ordinating Committee (NCC)
has described as malicious and totally fake, a report on the soon to be inaugurated NYSC youth’s Trust Fund by Sahara reporters.
NYSC AUPCTRE NCC in a statement signed by its Chairperson, Cde Jiya Muhammed and Secretary, Cde Akin Asifat-Gofment, said the online paper falsely reported that the NYSC Youth Trust Fund is actually a retirement payment scheme for top military Generals.
“Our attention has been drawn to the report made by the Sahara Reporter,an online newspaper against the passage of a bill into law for NYSC Trust Fund.
“We,as stakeholder in the scheme is bold to say that this posture is antithetical to lofty intention behind this idea.
“We want to unequivocally state that, this bill was burn out of the reality of our nation economic and need to eradicate youth unrest which occasionally orchestrates from mass unemployment.
“We want to say it that,that this bill when pass into law is capable to benefit Nigerian Youth through proper engagement in skill acquisition and make them employer of labour with accessible capital to set their individual business.”
“Conclusively, we’re charging the online media organization to focus on issues that could better life of the downtrodden rather than smear campaign against genuine proposal of the scheme.”
