PDP Youth Leader Allegedly Murdered By Unknown Gunmen In Benue

Leader of the youth angle of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),who was simply called Bem has been Allegedly assassinated on Saturday by unknown gunmen at North-Bank Area of Asase,a suburb of Makurdi in Benue State.

Bem, who was said to have been in PDP for several years before he clamped to the top as the youth leader of Agan ward in Makurdi local government area of the state.

Report says he was first attacked and later killed by unknown assailants.

According to an eye Witnesses who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity,said the victim whose name was simply given as Bem was shot to death today Saturday April 16,2022 by yet to be identified gunmen at north bank,Asese 1, Makurdi.

Saying NorthBank area in Makurdi has been noted for all kinds of criminal activities raging from killings, armed robbery, kidnapping and the likes.

“There is hardly any day you won’t hear of killings in some parts of Northbank. It’s either the cultists are fighting themselves or criminals are dispossessing victims and killing them in the process.

“Some innocent lives have been wasted in this area. This young man too was shot to death this morning but I can’t precisely say who his killers were,” the witness said”.

According to Police Spokesperson in Benue state, SP. Catherine Anene, when contacted, said she is yet to receive any report about the incident.
