Osun APC Crisis: Forum Of Senior Special Assistants Warns Aregbesola Over Outbursts, Declares Support For Gov Oyetola
The former governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has been called upon to have a rethink and disembark on a journey capable of truncate the reigning peace process and the laudable achievements of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Osun State.
This is contained in a statement issued by Engr. Kolawole Anwo , who is the Coordinator, Forum of Senior Special Assistants (FSSA) to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Engr. Anwo however declared the unalloyed support of the Senior Special Assistants to the Governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola , saying they were impressed with his tremendous performance in the last three years .
He said: “We have watched with keen interest the recent outburst of the former Governor of Osun State and the current Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and we have come to realise that the recent activities of the Minister to polarise the party will not be in the interest of members of our great party, All Progressive Congress(APC). We, therefore, express our support for the Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola who has been steering the ship of governance peacefully since his inauguration in 2018.
“We equally advise the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to think twice about his destructive activities and give peace a chance.
According to him, Ogbeni Aregbesola should as a progressive, let the interest of the party and by implication, the interest of the entire citizenry of the State be paramount to him and not the personal interest of any member.
“In line with popular demand, wish and aspiration of the entire members of our great party, the Forum of Senior Special Assistants hereby aligned with the adoption and endorsement of the Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola as the candidate of All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming Governorship election in Osun State”.
“Consequently, we call on all APC members across the state to vote for the Governor in the forthcoming primary election scheduled for Saturday 19th February 2022. We also enjoin the general public to vote for the APC in the July 2022 Governorship election to enable Mr Governor to continue with his people’s oriented programme which has put man as the centre of his policies”
