Why Edo Govt Collaborates With ZL Global On Waste Management
Edo State Government has collaborated with some selected waste management organizations from private sectors to a one-day workshop on sustainable waste management.
The workshop, which was organised by the state Ministry of Waste Management and Sustainability, was aimed at repositioning the waste management sector of the state.
Some of the invited waste management organizations from outside the state, among which is ZL Global Alliance a concessionaire in Ondo State, were at the workshop to rob minds with the state on how to engender a sustainable clean and healthy environment in Edo State.
At the plenary sessions of the one-day workshop, involvement of Local Government in waste management, monitoring and enforcement of waste/environmental laws and sensitization and awareness of the public were critically ironed out in order to keep the state clean.
Besides, decentralization of waste managers and enumeration and categorization of properties were also discussed during the plenary.
Speaking at the workshop, the state governor, Godwin Obaseki who highlighted the adminstration commitment and readiness to support practicable initiatives to resolve the challenges of waste management in Edo State, however, noted that the solutions from the forum would form a communique which will be implemented in the next six weeks.
Obaseki also added that Edo state is opened for investors especially for the environmental management sector in order to keep the state clean always.
Mr. Osadebamen Charles Imariagbe, the Edo state General Manager, Waste Management Board, who also spoke at the workshop highlighted the need for the people of the state to embrace the culture of properties waste disposal across the state.
Imariagbe, however, said the reintroduction of the monthly environmental sanitation recommendation would bring back the culture of keeping quality hygiene across the state.
CityMirrorNews reports that ZL Global Alliance is currently the most prominent and functional waste management concessionaire in Ondo State.

Head of Business, ZL Global, Ogunnaike Olaoluwa, Head of Operations Field ops,Tobi Benjamin among others.
