Funfair As Osun ALGON Chairman’s Wife, Mrs Comfort Abiodun Bows Out Of Service, Celebrates 60th Birthday

Retirement is the time of one’s transition from a career-driven lifestyle to one that’s meant for family and enjoying life. As for Mom, this indicates her moving onto the next chapter of her life—from being a full-time professional career woman, to now leading a ‘laid-back’ life at home.
Since this change can often bring about a spur of mixed feelings and emotions, it’s important to show our love and support in the best way we know how.
This is applicable to Deaconess Comfort Motunrayo Abiodun, the wife of the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun, on the occasion of her 60th birthday anniversary and celebration of her successful retirement after 30 years of meritorious service to the state and humanity.
The SOB event Centre located in Osogbo, where the birthday bash and retirement celebration took place was filled to beam as family, friends, political office holders thronged the venue to celebrate with their own who has just retired after 30 years diligent service to the state.
Deaconess Abiodun retired from active service as Head of Section – Planing-PR&S, Irepodun Local Government Education Authority, Ilobu.
Among the signatories who graced the occasion are the first lady of Osun State, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, the Orangun of Ila, HRM Oba Wahab Kayode Oyedotun, local Government Chairmen among other notable signatories.
Speaking, the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola thanked God for the successful retirement of the wife of the ALGON Chairman.
She said: “Deaconess Motunrayo Abiodun has been a very good woman, a woman of repute who has been a pillar of support for her husband.
“She has been a very good supporter of her husband. A women who is very passionate about the success of her children. A woman of a reputable character and a God fearing human being.
” I pray God to grant her long life and prosperity and may the good Lord uphold her family and entire household”.
Describing the celebrant as a God fearing human being, the Orangun of Ila, HRM Oba Wahab Kayode Oyedotun, said he was very happy for the exemplary life of Mrs Abiodun who he lauded for being a perfect example of womanhood.
The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun while congratulating his wife, Deaconess Comfort Motunrayo Abiodun on the occasion of her 60th birthday anniversary appreciated her for being a pillar of support.
He also felicitated with his wife for her successful retirement after 30 years of diligent and meritorious service to the State and humanity.
Abiodun who described his spouse as a “rare gem, gift of God and mother-indeed” said having a woman like her had been the best that has happened to him on the planet earth.
He described her as an intelligent civil servant and diligent bureaucrat who had served the state meritoriously.
He also lauded the experience and expertise of Mrs. Abiodun who he said had bequeathed legacies of diligence, loyalty, forthrightness, commitment and dedication to civil service.
His words: “Retirement is one of those major milestones in one’s life which marks the end of one chapter and the start of another.
“Boundless joy fills my heart today, seeing that you are healthily retiring from the service of the Local Government Education Authority, where you have served the state with zeal and zest in you.
“Of course, you have been a good and God fearing woman. As teacher for several years and head of section of Local Government Education Authority, Ilobu, I celebrate you for displaying wit and wisdom in managing the affairs until your retirement.
“You have shown resilience, doggedness, unparalleled expertise and uncommon intelligence in the service to the State and humanity.
“Today, working round the clock in and out of the office for never-ending days, for the last 30 years, has finally come to an end. Although you are taking a bow today, it will, however, remain on record that you have done so well and the State will continue to remember you for good”, he added.
One of the closest friends of the celebrant, Deaconess Adelowo Omowumi Dorcas, described her as an ‘intimated-bosom’ friend who understands her very much.
“The celebrant is my bosom and intimate friend. A friend who I can never forget in life. She’s so nice , very accommodating. She’s very good in the mist of her friends

Meanwhile, the ALGON Secretary, Barrister Bisi Oladosu, while speaking on behalf of the Caretaker Chairmen in all the 69 Local Government Areas, Local Council Development Areas, Council Areas and Administrative Offices, under the umbrella of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the celebrant for being the paragon of excellence and hope for emerging younger generation.
“On behalf of members of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, we heartily felicitate with the wife of our boss, Deaconess Comfort Motunrayo Abiodun on the occasion of her 60th birthday anniversary and retirement after a meritorious service to the State and humanity.
“Her commitment to service is indeed a reference point as a diligent bureaucrat who had distinguished herself in her chosen career and indeed, this had been attested to in the myriads of success earned throughout her service years.
“No doubt, you have catched a niche for yourself in your chosen career and the posterity would be kind to you as you bow out of active service and enter refreshing years ahead.
“We are full of joy as we identify with your family, children and indeed your spouse on this day and we pray that God in His infinite mercy will continue to uphold you and grant you more knowledge, wisdom and understanding in your future endeavours”, ALGON added.
