Oluwo Storms Ali Iwo Day, Drums Support For Olubadan

The Natural Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, today participated in the 2022 annual Ali Iwo Royal Day in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.

Joined by the Olubadan of Ibadan land, HRM Oba Olalekan Balogun, Oluwo said the emergence of Oba Balogun will, in particular, strengthen the ancient tie of Ali Iwo compound and by extension, the entire Ibadanland with Iwoland.

Oba Akanbi drummed support for Olubadan, saying Ali Iwo descendants are always distinctive in leadership role.

He stated the land dispute between Iwoland and Ibadan will soon be an history as urged frontliners in the matter to respect the tie and give peace a chance.

Expressing his happiness, Oluwo appealed to Oyo State government, Ibadan stakeholders, politicians, princes and chiefs to support Olubadan through quality pieces of advice and logistics.

Oba Akanbi enjoined the annual event organizer, Ali Iwo Progressive Movement (APM) to always partner with his throne to facelift subsequent editions.

He acknowledged and appreciated the contribution of Ibadan and her warrirors to defending Yorubaland from the time immemorial.

“I specially congratulate my own, the Olubadan of Ibadan, HRM Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun, for representing his dynasty qualitatively. He is a pride to the Ali Iwos. I’m proud of his history and will continously support him to succeed and pilot Ibadan affairs constructively”

“I appeal to Oyo State Government, Ibadan stakeholders, politicians, princes and chiefs to support Olubadan in all ramifications to ensure a distinctive reign. I’m sure Ali Iwo descendants are always excellent leaders”

“I want to assure Ali Iwo descendants of my support. Always liase with my palace to give the annaul event a facelift”

With Oluwo were the Akire of Ikire Ile, HRM Oba Abdulazeez Olatunbosun, Adatan of Asa, HRM Oba Akinmoyero Adeolu, Aremo Adelani Akanbi, Chiefs and princes from Iwo

Also presence were the President of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Yemisi Adeaga, Senator Kola Balogun, Hon. Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban, Mogaji Fajinmi, Hon. Idris Ajimobi and host of others.

Oba Akanbi prayer for longer life and more prosperous years for Olubadan.
