Nigeria’ll Regret It If Anything Happens To Nnamdi Kanu – IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has warned against the continued solitary confinement of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Recall that Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS since his arrest several months ago.
IPOB said Nigeria will regret rearresting Kanu if anything happens to him in the DSS custody.
Emma Powerful, spokesman of IPOB, issued the warning while lamenting that Kanu is placed in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.
In a statement he signed, Powerful accused Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court of turning a blind eye to Kanu’s travails in the DSS custody.
The statement reads partly: “We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great and indefatigable leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, once again, wish to raise alarm over the continuous detention of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in a solitary confinement at the State Security Services, DSS, headquarters, Abuja.
“We have seen that the presiding Judge handling this case, Hon. Justice Binta Nyako is an accomplice to the suffering of an innocent man who commited no crime known to law in Nigeria and the world.
