National Honours: Osun NUJ Rejoices With Ooni Of Ife
Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council, has felicitated with Ooni of Ife and natural leader of yoruba race,Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan on the conferment of National Honour of commander of the Federal Republic, CFR, on him by President Muhammadu Buhari.
A statement by the Chairman and Secretary of the council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Comrade Bukola Elufadejin described the honour as well deserved one due to the contributions of the foremost Traditional ruler to the promotion of peace and unity of the country.
The statement noted that the honour was manifestation of the commitment of Oba Adeyeye to youth and women empowerment and his philanthropist gesture to the vulnerable and less privileged.
It maintained that the monarch deserved the honour due to his positive disposition on issues of national interest and promotion of conversation that will aid socio economic transformation of the country.
The statement expressed optimism that the national honour would further spur the foremost traditional ruler for more advocacy on issues of national development.
