Police Nab Isikilu For Armed Robbery In Ogun

Operatives of Ogun Police Command have arrested a suspected armed robber, Isikilu Moses during an operation in Joju, Sango-Ota area of the state.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Ota, Ogun state.
According to the statement, Isikilu was arrested on Friday, April 8 following a distress call received at Sango-Ota Divisional Headquarters.
The PPRO explained that armed robbers had invaded Adebeshi Street, off Joju road, and dispossessed members of the community of their belongings.
“Upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Sango-Ota Division, SP Saleh Dahiru, quickly mobilised his patrol team and moved to the scene.
“On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums took to their heels, but they were hotly chased, and one of the suspects named Isikilu Moses, was apprehended.
“Recovered from the suspect are one locally-made pistol and two mobile phones belonging to their victims,” she said.
The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for investigation.
He equally ordered a manhunt for the remaining members of the gang.
