Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a surprise visit to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa in Abuja on Thursday night.
Laolu Akande, spokesman of Osinbajo, described the visit as a “surprise”.
“We got a call: Asiwaju Tinubu who was visiting President at his Presidential Villa residence this evening will be making an unscheduled stop at VP’s residence also. Lagos Gov accompanied him & VP received the surprise with some of his associates who he was meeting with earlier,”Akande tweeted.
The APC leader visited Osinbajo one day after the vice-president contested the APC primary against him.
While Tinubu got 1,271 votes, Osinbajo came a distant third with 235 votes. Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation, secured 316 votes in the election.
