Eid-ul Kabir: Emulating Lessons From Life, Time Of Proph. Ibrahim, Great Way To Lead Pious Life – Badmus
The Honourable Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties in Osun State, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, has urged muslim faithfuls across the world to lead a pious life filled with love and respect for humanity by emulating the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.W.) whose decision, centuries afar, has afforded us the opportunity of celebrating eid in a sweet manner.
This was contained in an Eid-ul Kabir message obtained from the Commissioner on Saturday in Osogbo.
He stated that, Prophet Ibrahim did not go to his creator in supplication to change the prophecy that his son (Ismail) must be slaughtered in fulfillment of his pledge to Almighty Allah to worship, without exception, all that Allah had given him.
According to the Commissioner, “His son, who was supposed to be in great depression was equally ready to make sacrifice so that his father (Ibrahim) could fall on the good side of the supreme being.
“He followed the instruction to details, defying all emotions and human factors but in the end, another creature would die in place of his son.
“God saw the intention and spared us all till date. Nigerians should be patriotic and loyal whilst everything will gradually fall in place.”
In addition to his admonition, the Special Duties’ Boss prayed that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, emerges victorious in the July 16 election.
According to him, “I also want to use this opportunity to pray for massive victory for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola at the polls. There is no iota of doubt about the competence of the people’s Governor, who has consolidated excellently on the development he met on ground.
“The significance of this period is enough to wish for all we desire and I am sure I speak the mind of many of us if I say that we desire the re-election of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the coming gubernatorial election in our state,” Badmus prayed.
