Missing Student Is On IT Who Should Be Under Care Of Her Parent -Osun Poly
The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has explained that one Owolabi Abidemi who was declared missing by her friends was a former student of the institution.
According to the management, Abidemi going by her matriculation number, 19/DACN/4226, was an ex-student who is expected to be on her Industrial Attachment by now.
Some of the friends of the missing Abidemi have announced through the social media that she (Abidemi) left home for a journey and since then her parents, relatives and friends have been searching for her.
Reacting, the school management in a statement signed by the Registrar, Busari Salawu Esq, said Abidemi is a former student who is expected to be on her Industrial Attachment under the covers of her parents as she graduated during the 2020/2021 Academic Session of the Institution.
The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication by an online media on a missing former student of our Institution, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
“We wish to state that the story captioned, “Undergraduate Osun Poly Student Declared Missing” was not investigated.
“In clear terms, we hereby state that the bearer, Owolabi Abidemi , was an ex-student of the institution. Going by her matriculation number, 19/DACN/4226, the lady is expected to be on her Industrial Attachment by now under the covers of her parents as she graduated during the 2020/2021 Academic Session of the Institution.
“Besides, the Institution did not have any formal report of the alleged missing girl either from her parents or security operatives in the State.
‘While we sympathise with the parents of the alleged missing girl, we pray that the Lord will manifest Himself in her recovery.”
