Alleged Misappropriation Fund: Anti-Graft Quizzes Suspended Ondo LG Chair

The suspended Chairman of the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo state, Mr. Alex Oladimeji, has been reportedly quizzed by the Anti-Graft Special Fraud Unit, Alagbon, Lagos, to clear his name over involvement in alleged misappropriation of public funds.
A reliable sources, who confirmed to CityMirrorNews on Wednesday in Akure, the Ondo state capital said the suspended chairman was presently at the antigraft agency for interogation over misappropriation of public fund among others offences.
Findings revealed that some management staff of the Local Government were also invited.
Oladimeji’s ordeal started over a petition written by some councilors of the council to the State House of Assembly.
Upon receiving the petition, the House of Assembly, subsequently, set up an investigave panel to look into the administration of Oladimeji and after the conclusion of its assignment, the panel found Alex Oladimeji guilty of misappropriation of funds.
Recall that the House in November, 2021 subsequently, suspended the embattled Chairman in order to give room for further investigation over the allegations against him and directed the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oluwasogo Ajikiola to act in his place.
Oladimeji was said to have converted about N850,000 monthly salary being released by the state government to Ad-hoc staff to his personal use.
He was also alleged of converting the sum of N2.250,000), being received from the state government which was shared from the Land Use Charge collected by the Ondo state Internal Revenue Service to his personal use.
