The Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Youth and Sports, Honourable Adegboyega Adelabu Aremo has debunked the allegation making the rounds that the management of the Osun Youths Empowerment Scheme (OYES) is demanding Permanent Voters Cards before conducting interviews for prospective cadets .

Aremo who described the allegation as unfounded and baseless warned the peddlers of such misleading information to desist or face the wrath of God stating that the allegations is far from the truth.

Speaking after his visitation to the places of documentation in the state , Aremo said there was nothing of such saying people who falsely accuse others or say slanderous things are often acting from a place of unhappiness, selfishness and jealousy.

He added that they resorted to false accusations because of the remarkable success the present administration had achieved in youth engagement and empowerment within the space of three and half years.

He noted that the OYES management only directed the applicants to provide any means of Identification, such drivers license, international passport, National Identification card among others.

He, therefore challenged the false alarmist to come out and state the exact documentation centre where such is done.

“We want to say emphatically that the people behind this false accusations are incorrigible liars who think they can cook up mischievous lies way to tarnish the good name and image of the OYES scheme and by extension drag the state government into the mud.” he said

Aremo, however, warned social media campaigners to thread softly in order not to plunge the state into serious crisis during the poll.

A Facebook user by name, Akinbile Samson Akinniyi Rockgold, had alleged that officials of the OYES scheme, in Osogbo, were collecting applicants PVCs before they could be allowed to undergo the interview.

He wrote: I was surprised today At Oyes empowerment, they were collecting our voter’s cards before we can be interviewed and it was not returned back to us.

I told them I can’t give out My voter’s card and was sent out without being interviewed.
