Kwara: Saraki Is A Consensus Leader, Seeks General Agreement Among Party Members, Says Hon Ajibola
The immediate past Senate president of Nigeria, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, has been described as a listening leader who understands the process of decision-making that seeks widespread agreement among group members.
Honourable Ahmed Wasiu Ajibola made this disclosure on Saturday in Offa, Kwara State.
“For someone who understands the polity involved, Dr. Saraki always seeks general agreement among the party members, whose discretion count in decision-making and follow-up action. This goes a long way to describe the fact he does not act as an island.
“He likes consensus, so as to avert crisis in the party at least.”
Honourable Ajibola who said he was motivated by the Dr. Bukola Saraki-led Senate facilitation of Not Too Young To Run Bill to run for Kwara State House of Assembly in 2019 said though some people might be of opinion that he was too young to run, but the Bill made the provision.
Furthermore, Honourable Ajibola dismissed the notion that youths are tagged as agents of violence and wreckers of havocs. He said this is due to excessive energies and virile for which youths are known for.
He said he understand that it’s a continuous education of reoccurring commitment; and he is dedicated to that since.
“They said youths are thus fall short of leadership. But I’m saying no, youths can take charge of things and do well; that’s what I am communicating as well as representing as an ambassador of youths.
Honourable Ajibola subsequently charged the electorate to register and collect their permanent voters’ card (PVCs) in order to vote for their desired candidates.
