Senator Adeleke Congratulates Shina Abubakar On His Emergence As Osun NUJ Correspondents’Chapel Chairman

Frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has felicitated with the newly elected Chairman of Osun State Correspondents Chapel, Shina Abubakar of Vanguard newspaper, describing his election as ” a triumph of democracy and role modelling by Nigerian media”
In a statement he personally signed and issued on Sunday, Senator Adeleke noted that Abubakar is a thoroughbred professional who is primed and equipped to take the chapel to great height.
” I congratulate you warmly on your election as the chapel Chairman. As a lover of media and as a politician who appreciates the critical role of the media in the political process, the democratic process within the chapel is a symbol of the media setting the tone and pace for Nigerian political elite.
“I always hold as sacrosanct free press as a foundation for sustainable democracy. The media and journalists deserve all the support as the fourth estate of the realm. We envision a journalists’ village, a media Insurance programme and capacity building agenda for media practitioners in Osun state. Journalists carry out very sensitive task on behalf of the citizens. You deserve our unconditional support”, Adeleke said.
” As Osun moves towards a new circle of election, I use this opportunity to reach out to your colleagues locally and nationally. We are committed to partnership and collaboration with the media in the discharge of your patriotic duty.
