Osun NSCDC Stages 100 Personnel For 2022 UTME To Beef Up Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has deployed One hundred personnel to beef up security in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) in the State.

NSCDC,in statement made available to journalists on Thursday said the effort was taken to double its commitment in order to maintaining law and order as well as to guide against any act that could jeopardize the successful conduct of the examination.

The state Command, Emmanuel Ocheja, while reiterating the commitment of the command as the security architect in the state,said every plan has been geared toward peaceful conduct of 2022 UTME, opined that one hundred staff would be available to man all Jamb centers where the examination would be taken place across the state and to protect lives of all candidates as well as Jamb officials.

According to the state Public Relations Officer of the command ,ASCII Atanda Olabisi, who wrote through the state commandant, stressed that:

“one hundred personnel will be deployed to all designated Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) centers where the matriculation examination will be conducted across Osun State.

“We have put in place necessary arrangements to ensure adequate security of lives of candidates, the examination centers and JAMB officials”,He added.

He therefore called on every candidate to adhere strictly to laid down instructions on the examination day and to do away with any incriminating material, as anyone found culpable will be dealt with in line with the extant laws.

He however, urged parents and guardians to warn their wards against any act that might force them to face the wrath of the law.

The Commandant Stressed that the personnel would work assiduously for the success of the examination in accordance with the training they had received.

Commandant Ocheja, wishes all candidates a resounding success in the forthcoming UTME.
