The President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, Pastor Enunuaye Onajite has congratulated youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on the occasion of the annual Youth Week celebration.

In a congratulatory message sent to the media, Onajite said that 2022 Youth Week celebration is unique because it is the last to be witnessed by youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention before the 50th anniversary coming up in August, 2022.

He said that in this perverse generation, what the world needs is the “Bread of Life” (John 6:22-40) which is the theme for the year.

He encouraged all youths across the Convention, Conferences, Associations, and Church Fellowships to fully participate in all the activities scheduled for the week for their spiritual and physical growth.

Onajite admonished youths of the Convention to be prepared to take the Bread of Life to the world that is in desperate need of the word of God.

He said “On behalf of the leadership of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, I congratulate all our youths on the celebration of the 2022 Baptist Youth Week.

“The Annual celebration has become one of the ways to commune with God, exhibit our leadership qualities and strengthen the inter and intra relationship between the Youths and the Churches and among the youths.

“This year, we are looking at the ‘Bread of Life’ (John 6:22-40). This theme could not have come at a better time than now when the famous generation X and Z have shifted focus from God and His words. It is time for us to go back to the foundation of our faith which is the word of God.”

Onajite said that it was impossible to defeat the devil without being deeply rooted in the word of God.

He wished all youths a happy Youth Week. The 2022 Baptist Youth Week will be held between Sunday, June 5 – 11, 2022.
