Press Freedom Day: Osun NUJ Demands Better Welfare For Members
As the world marks press freedom day today,Nigeria Union of Journalists,Osun State Council wants government to pay attention to welfare of Journalists.
A statement by Chairman of the union, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Secretary Comrade Bukola Elufadejin said Journalists deserved a decent life due to their place in the nation’s democratic governance.

The statement frowned at the way some private and government owned media houses are treating Journalists especially non payment of their salaries and other benefits as well as exposing them to unnecessary hazard.
It beckoned on employers of media professionals to provide enabling environment for them to carry out their professional responsibilities.
The statement urged Journalists to be ethical while performing their duties and ensure they protect themselves against all forms of attack and confrontations.
