Osun Assembly Commends OSIEC For Conducting Free And Fair LG Election
The Osun State House of Assembly has commended the State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) for conducting free and fair election during the last Local Government Election in the state.
Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon Taiwo Adebayo Olodo gave the commendation on Thursday at the ongoing budget defense exercise at the House of Assembly Osogbo.

He noted that the last local government election conducted in October 15 was free, fair, credible and acceptable.
According to him, “I want to say that the last local government election in the state was free, fair,credible and accepted”
“The October local government election went smoothly across the state” he added.
He also advised the commission to double their efforts on future elections in the state.
In their various contributions during the exercise, the lawmakers appreciated ministry of judiciary for maintaining peace atmosphere in the state.
They also gave kudos to Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and its Commission for handling chieftaincy affairs diligently in the state.
Among the MDAs that appeared for screening exercise today before the lawmakers including Ministry of Justice, High Court of Justice, Judiciary Services Commission, Customary Court of Appeal and Civil Services Commission.
Others are Local Government Services Commission, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ministry of Women, and Children Affairs, Osun Independent Electoral Commission and New Towns and Growth Areas Development Authority respectively.
