You’re A Patriotic Nigerian, Progressive Politician, Oyetola Applauds Shettima @56
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun has congratulated former Borno State governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima, on the occasion of his 56th birthday anniversary.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Governor Oyetola described Shettima as a patriotic Nigerian, progressive politician, and seasoned administrator that has made sterling contributions to nation-building.
Oyetola recalled how the celebrant, as the Governor of Borno, raised the bar of good governance in the State, leaving behind a legacy of outstanding achievements and projects that are still visible and beneficial to the people of the State.
He added that despite the challenges of insecurity, Shettima laid a solid foundation that Governor Babagana Zulum is building on today, adding that posterity would be kind to him.
“As Senator representing Borno Central, Shettima continues to provide effective and purposeful representation to his constituents and always make meaningful contributions on the floor of the Senate on issues pertaining to the growth and development of the country.
“His loyalty and track record informed his selection as the Vice Presidential Candidate of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 general elections. Indeed, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a good choice.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Osun, I congratulate Senator Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 56th birthday. I pray Allah grant him many more years of happiness, good health and strength for continued service to his people, Nigeria and humanity as a whole,” Oyetola said.
