Ede North LG Chair, Adeyemi Greets Muslim Faithfuls On Eid-el-Fitr

Honourable Elliot Adeyemi, Chairman of Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State, has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the Council on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting of the year 2022.
In a statement which he personally signed and made available to Journalists, Adeyemi noted that the end of Ramadan fast, which is celebrated as Eid-El-Fitri, is a season that instructs the ethics of virtue and closeness to God.
He said that the practice of waiting, self denial, prayers which is the hallmark of fasting, is one of the cardinal templates of sacrifice, which he enjoins the people of his council, Osun and Nigeria to embrace for the greater good of the country.
“In addition to the above, the forgiveness and reconciliation tenets of the fasting period, which cut across all tribes in Nigeria, where Muslim umma are, reminds us of our oneness and togetherness as a nation. It is, therefore, an opportunity for us to appreciate and celebrate with one another, as a people bounded in love and unity,” he added.
Adeyemi , however, enjoined the people of the town to eschew anything capable of causing crisis before , during and after the celebration of the Eid-el-fitri so as to ensure peaceful co-existence Among the people of the council.
He equally used the opportunity to call on the people of the council to continue to support Governor Gboyega Oyetola in his efforts to transform the state to the greater heights.
He said people of the council and Osun as a whole should come out enmass and vote for Governor Oyetola come July 16 for the good work to be continued in the state.
