Independence Jamboree: Nigeria Destined For Greatness – APC Guber Candidate
As Nigeria Independence is being celebrated, Niger State gubernatorial candidate under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Umar Bago, has expressed his optimism despite all odds that Nigeria will be great.
The guber candidate made this known on Saturday in Minna as he joined the rest of Nigerians to mark this year’s Independence anniversary.
He said despite the challenges, the country had achieved a lot since its independence 62 years ago.
“The future of the country lies in its ability to achieve unity and peace, that which would be much easier to attain if leaders at all levels allow justice and fair play to govern their actions,” he said.
The guber candidate further stressed that when people believed in the fairness of their leaders, they would be ready to do everything within their power to protect their fatherland and make things work out well for their well-being.
Appealing to groups that felt cheated to shun sentiments, drop agitation and leverage the improved political climate in the country and improve the way they relate to one another in the country.
Bago, therefore, urged the people of Nigeria to support the government at all levels, saying the task of nation-building required the contribution of every citizen.
