YPF Urges Tinubu To Run For President In 2023
A sociocultural group, Yoruba Progressive Forum (YPF) on Tuesday held it’s annual meeting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where they urged the national leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Hammed Tinubu to run for president in 2023.
Members of the group across the country, especially the Southwestern states, converged on Osogbo to review the activities of the group and discuss vital issues, especially those bordering on the coming gubernatorial election in Osun in 2022 and the 2023 presidential election.
At the meeting, the National Coordinator Alhaji Olalekan Lateef, popularly known as Asiri Ede, said it is high time for the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to run for the 2023 presidential election.
Lateef who described the YPF as a group of reputable Yorubas and professionals in diverse fields with passion and commitment to drive togetherness, love, unity and peaceful coexistence among the Yoruba race.
He said the group members are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Tinubu possesses all the qualities, competence, capabilities, capacities and experiences needed to actualize the Nigeria the citizens dream of.
The YPF National Coordinator also expressed the group’s confidence in Tinubu to lead a government with comprehensive policies that encompass monumental infrastructural and human development with unprecedented economic growth.
“We are convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that Asiwaju Tinubu possesses all the qualities, capacities, and experiences needed to actualize the Nigeria of our dream and aspirations of the citizens.
“It is high time for Jagaba to speak up “Sorosoke” . We want him to assure us of his readiness to contest the presidential election.
He however, used the occasion to urge the people of Osun to continue to support Governor Gboyega Oyetola so as to govern the state beyond 2022.
Also Speaking, the guest lecturer, Prince Adesoji Adeleke Masilo who is one of the leaders of Yoruba, said there was the need for Yoruba to remain united, saying once they are unite, there is nothing they won’t be able to achieve as a team.
He noted that Tinubu has all what it takes to lead the country to a greater height.
He said: “I personally, if I have the power that I can use to make Tinubu president come 2023, I will definitely use it because Tinubu transformational leadership acumen, outstanding, managerial skills and futuristic orientation stand him out among all.
